!!! EUROCEANS Member funds for training attendance
As part of the EUROCEANS contract, member institutes receive set amount of money calculated from the number of Principle Investigators (PIs) in that institute. The money is transfered each year to that institute, and is designated to be spent on attendance of EUROCEANS sponsored/endorsed events (such as the E2E EcoModel Summer School). Thesis students and young post-docs in EUROCEANS member institutions are fully entitled to use that money and need to contact their institution administrators to find out how much is available, and/or remaining, for that institution.
Some information before tapping into that travel money:
-1- is my institute a member? - ANSWER on http://www.eur-oceans.eu/contact_members/index.php;
-2- how many PIs does my member institute have in EUROCEANS? - ANSWER on http://www.eur-oceans.eu/contact_members/index.php;
-3- how much money is potentially available to me? - ANSWER: each member receives total = 483euros+547*(Number of PIs), each year;
-4- how much of that is already spent, and how much can I use? ANSWER: your administrators can let you know.
