GRS MEETING DESCRIPTION

August 1-7th, 2015

Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

GRS Title:        Marine Molecular Ecology

GRS Subtitle:  Recent developments in Marine Microbial Interactions: New Approaches and Techniques

Meeting Overview

The Marine Molecular Ecology Gordon Research Conference is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.

The focus of this meeting is to explore the marine ecology at molecular level, linking molecular diversity, pathway and mechanism to ecological function and behaviour of different marine organisms and systems. Presentation and discussions of current findings will include, but are not limited to recent developments using new and unique approaches to address all ecological aspects in marine ecosystems, such as competition, predation, parasitism, symbiosis, virus-host interactions and microbial contributions to marine biogeochemistry.
