Full travel grants to Arctic Science planning meetings of your choice – New Research Generation (NRG) - An Initiative of the AOSB* The Arctic Ocean Sciences Board (AOSB), in collaboration with the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) and the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists (APECS), is pleased to announce its second call for applications from early career scientists to support their involvement in international arctic marine planning meetings. Applications for travel support to attend an international science planning meeting should be sent to AOSB secretariat NRG_application@aosb.org by 15 October 2008. START's Young Scientists Award: START's Young Scientist Award program recognizes the achievements of outstanding young scientists from developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Mediterranean region. Award decisions are based on peer reviewed published journal articles. In keeping with START's mission of conducting research on regional aspects of global change, the journal article should focus on some aspect of global change research that is being conducted on a regional level or has a strong regional focus.
