How to have your research project endorsed by IMBER
- Please ensure that your project is relevant to at least one of the four IMBER scientific themes
- Download and fill in the endorsement form
- Send the completed form to the IMBER International Project Office (imber@univ-brest.fr).
How to have your workshops, conferences and educational activities endorsed by IMBER

What are the benefits of having your project endorsed IMBER ?
Enhanced networking and communication:
- Project promotion through IMBER’s various communication channels;
- Swift and wide communication of ideas and results through the IMBER network;
- Increased interaction with other IMBER projects and programmes;
- Potential to broaden the range of study (spatially and temporally) through the availability of complementary information;
- Tools: Workshops, conferences, publications, newsletter, web site and mailing list.
Help in funding activities:
- Strengthening of funding proposals via the link to IMBER and its Science Plan;
- Endorsement of project activities or events (conferences, summer schools, etc.) within the scope of IMBER;
- Enhanced scientific value of your project through a cooperative data management approach;
- Improved interaction with specialist data centres through the IMBER Data Liaison Officer;
- Data management training sessions (preparation, storage and quality control).
Assistance for young scientists:
- IMBER organises summer schools and training workshops (e.g. data management);
- Publication of early career scientists’ work in the IMBER newsletter.
What IMBER requires from endorsed projects ?
- Acceptance of the general principles and goals outlined in the IMBER Science Plan;
- Data collected during the project to be made accessible, in accordance with IMBER principles for international data exchange;
- Acknowledge the link with IMBER in project products (e.g. include the statement ‘This study is a contribution to the international IMBER project’ in the acknowledgement section of publications).
